Lisa Frese, Cert.Hol. Psych., BA, Member ASIA.
Lisa has been involved in personal growth work for over twenty years. A qualified nurse and teacher, she trained as a body-psychotherapist with the Boyesen Foundation in Europe. Lisa has been in private practice since 1989. Integrating Somatic Psychotherapy psychodynamic theories and practices, she is passionate about the integration of attuned touch within an introspective empathic relationship. For the last five years she has been a teacher in several psychotherapy training programmes.

Professor Stuart B. Hill is Foundation Chair of Social Ecology at the University of Western Sydney.

Stuart has published over 350 papers and reports. His latest books (with Martin Mulligan) are Ecological Pioneers: A Social History of Australian Ecological Thought and Action, (Cambridge UP, 2001) and (with Werner Sattmann-Frese) Learning for Sustainable Living: Psychology of Ecological Transformation (Lulu.Com, 2008).

Stuart has worked in agricultural and development projects in the West Indies, French West Africa, Indonesia, The Philippines, China, and the Seychelles, as well as in the UK, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dr Cedric Twyford, PhD.
Cedric completed his studies in the U.K. in environmental science and then did post-graduate studies in plant horticultural science and biotechnology. His work has covered developing bio-technical solutions in the field of agricultural crop modernisation and technology transfer as well as formal and hands-on training of staff, much of this overseas. Apart from a long-standing environmental interest he is particularly keen to see how society will face up and adapt to increasingly less environmental freedom in the future".

The previous Sustainable Living Courses have now been integrated into the new Learning for Sustainable Living (LfSL) Programme. In 12 one-day units participants in the programme will learn new skills on subjects such as: emotional and psychosocial sustainability; sustainability mapping; ecological psychology in environmental education; aspects of eco-psychotherapy; ecological perspectives of ADD and ADHD; ecological perspectives of cancer and earth cancer; person-planet unity and sustainable living;  and psychosomatic and environmental medicine.

Dr Werner Sattmann-Frese, Cert. Hol. Psych. MAppSc, PhD, Member Australian Somatic Integration Association (ASIA)
Werner studied conventional medicine and bodyoriented psychotherapy from 1977 to 1984. Since then he has been working as a psychotherapist, supervisor, trainer, and course facilitator. Werner also has a special interest in our psychosocial living conditions, in manifestations of physical illness, and in our current environmental crises. Besides working in private practice, he facilitates courses on emotional, psychosocial, and environmental sustainability throughout Australia and is a sessional lecturer and tutor at the University of Western Sydney.
